About Picked & Smashed
Picked & Smashed didn’t start in a kitchen; it started because of Nick’s love of food and how it makes you feel.
He’d talk about all of the nostalgia from some of his favorite dishes and wanted to recreate those same ideas and feelings through sandwiches.
One day it stopped being an idea and became a plan… and then it became Picked & Smashed, a modern brown-bag sandwich pop-up built on flavor, nostalgia, and a little bit of culinary chaos.
Why Sandwiches?
Because they’re simple.
Because they’re comforting.
Because when they’re made well, they hit the spot like nothing else.
After 14 years in professional kitchens, Nick stepped away, but food stayed with him. The creativity. The craft. The joy of feeding people.
And the one thing he missed the most?
Making something honest, handmade, and really, really good.
Picked & Smashed is his way back home.
